A collaborative seminar hosted by MANASSA (Masyarakat Pernaskahan Nusantara) in partnership with UNESCO Jakarta, and supported by Dana Indonesiana under the Institutional Support Scheme from Kemendikbudristek RI and LPDP, this event brought together key players in Indonesia’s cultural heritage ecosystem:
Kemendikbudristek RI, Kemenkominfo RI, BRIN, Kemenag RI, Perpusnas RI, UIN Lombok, and many more.

 

The seminar focused on the urgent mission of preserving and digitizing Nusantara manuscripts, discussing topics from open metadata protocols to AI-assisted transcription workflows, and advocating national policy for manuscript revitalization as a cornerstone of cultural advancement.
